We met at mutual friend's house in 2009 and didn't think much of it. 6-8 months after we met (and saw each other every week) we started to spend more time together one on one. Alex and I both would look for reasons to do things together. Whether it was me hopping in the car with him while he ran to the store, or Alex watching "Dear John" with me, we soon became inseparable. 10 years later, we are finally say "I Do!"

On October 11th 2019, I was getting ready for my client's wedding (& my Birthday!) for October 12th. I had a busy day running around, getting things together, and running the rehearsal for the wedding. Alex planned a dinner to not only celebrate my birthday, but also to say goodbye to his grandparents who were visiting from England. He coordinated with my family to make sure that my Dad, stepmom, and sister came down from Torrance. My mom, stepdad, brother and sister had the night off work, my Sister (& Maid of Honor) was there via FaceTime. His sister and one of my best friends came down from Mammoth, his parents and grandparents were there, and his brother got off work early! They had the entire house decorated beautifully and a cake table set up outside. When the time came to sing Happy Birthday to me, we went outside, and everyone circled around and sang. Once I blew out the candles, Alex's stepdad Chris asked what I wished for, and right after that, Alex got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. XO – Katlin
