Pershayne and Joe’s story began in 2017, in a warehouse known as O&M. What started as a simple meeting quickly grew into something neither of them could ignore. Like many great love stories, theirs was not without challenges. After walking through trials and tribulations together, life led them down separate paths, each embarking on their own journey of growth and self-discovery. But love has a way of finding its way back home. In time, Pershayne and Joe were drawn back to one another, reunited by a love that had never truly faded. From that moment on, they became inseparable, building a deeper bond rooted in understanding, resilience, and unwavering commitment. On June 5, 2025, they welcomed their precious baby boy, Joel Dewayne Grimes. Due to pregnancy complications, Joel was born sleeping and did not get the chance to join his parents earthside. While the loss of their beloved son was devastating, it became a defining moment in their love story. Through grief, Pershayne and Joe leaned on one another, and their bond grew stronger than ever. They learned to cherish each other fully and to care for one another not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Out of heartbreak came healing. Out of loss came an unbreakable union. On January 25, 2026, surrounded by their immediate families and loved ones, Joe asked Pershayne the question she had been waiting to hear since the day they met: “Will you marry me?” With love in her heart and without hesitation, Pershayne answered, yes. This is their forever—built on love, resilience, faith, and the beautiful legacy of the son who will always be a part of their story.
