On a hot summer day in June of 2022, Rana and Juan joined their friends at Summerfest to see Lil' Wayne perform. One of their first conversations was in the back of an Uber when they learned of each other's professions and Rana gave Juan some strategic advice on how to properly handle a cross examination, and Juan politely asked to circle back on the topic once Rana had graduated law school and started practicing. As the night went on and the group wandered the fairgrounds, Juan and Rana stayed connected throughout the evening, talking about everything from family and hobbies to war strategies and political regimes (because of course). Oh, and they said Lil' Wayne's performance was decent, too. Before the night was over, Juan asked if he could have Rana's phone number, and a few weeks later (after a couple of cancellations), the two grabbed dinner together. Fast forward three and a half years later, Rana and Juan have shared friends, stories, travels, holidays, and their spark has remained just as radiant as it was that summer night in Milwaukee. Juan proposed to Rana on May 3, 2025 in front of their families before celebrating the rest of the evening with loved ones and close friends. They are so excited to close the chapter on their engagement and celebrate the start of their next one with you on August 29, 2026.
