1. What is the best airport to fly into?

Answer

• León/Guanajuato International Airport (BJX): About 1.5 hours from San Miguel de Allende. • Querétaro Intercontinental Airport (QRO): Approximately 1.5 hours from San Miguel de Allende. (We will be flying to Querétaro from Nashville!) Both airports offer BajioGo shuttle services to San Miguel, and we recommend checking flight availability and convenience.

2. When should I arrive? | ¿Cuando deberia llegar?

We recommend arriving at least one day before the wedding to settle in, explore the beautiful town of San Miguel de Allende, and join us for the Welcome Party at Garambullo on Friday, Feb. 20. ESPAÑOL Recomendamos llegar al menos un día antes de la boda para instalarse, explorar la hermosa ciudad de San Miguel de Allende y acompañarnos en la Fiesta de Bienvenida en Garambullo el viernes 20 de febrero.

3. Where should I stay? | Dónde hospedarse

Answer

We recommend staying near the historic center (Centro Histórico) so you’re within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the main plaza, El Jardín. This area makes it easy to get around on foot and enjoy everything San Miguel de Allende has to offer. There are plenty of great options, including boutique hotels, Airbnbs, and vacation rentals, depending on your preference and group size. Visit the "Travel" section for hotel recommendations. February in San Miguel de Allende is typically mild and beautiful. You can expect sunny days with daytime temperatures around 70–75°F (21–24°C) and cooler evenings around 45–50°F (7–10°C). Rain is unlikely, but we recommend bringing layers for mornings and nights. ESPAÑOL Febrero en San Miguel de Allende suele ser templado y muy agradable. Pueden esperar días soleados con temperaturas durante el día entre 21–24 °C (70–75 °F) y noches más frescas entre 7–10 °C (45–50 °F). Answer

San Miguel de Allende is a small, very walkable city. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from one end to the other, and you can always orient yourself by looking for the tall cathedral, La Parroquia, in the central square. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes or wedges, as the streets are cobblestone. Taxis are widely available and can take you anywhere around the city for approximately $5–6 USD. Se tarda aproximadamente 20 minutos en recorrerla de un extremo a otro, y en todo momento puedes orientarte buscando la catedral principal, La Parroquia, en la plaza central. 6. Do I need Mexican Pesos? | ¿Necesito pesos mexicanos?

Answer

While you may be able to get by using U.S. dollar international credit cards, we highly recommend having Mexican pesos on hand. Pesos are especially useful for street vendors, taxis, and local shopping. There are multiple ATMs located around the central plaza, El Jardín. Most restaurants, hotels, and larger shops accept credit cards. ESPAÑOL Aunque es posible usar tarjetas de crédito internacionales en dólares estadounidenses, recomendamos llevar pesos mexicanos. Son especialmente útiles para vendedores ambulantes, taxis y compras locales. Hay varios cajeros automáticos ubicados alrededor de la plaza principal, El Jardín. Answer

As with other destinations in Mexico, it’s best to avoid tap water unless it has been filtered. Most restaurants serve purified water, but we encourage our guests to drink bottled water throughout their stay. Bottled water is widely available, and short-term visitors are also advised to use it when brushing their teeth. While we absolutely adore your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration, with a few exceptions for our immediate family. We hope you can take this opportunity to enjoy a fun evening out! We’ve thoughtfully curated our guest list, and as such, only those listed on your invitation are invited to attend. If your invitation includes a plus-one, we’re delighted to welcome your guest to celebrate with us. Both our ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Casa Adela in San Miguel de Allende. There will also be some indoor areas available for your comfort throughout the evening. We recommend dressing accordingly and wearing shoes suitable for walking on grass and cobblestones. 13. How will I get to and from the wedding venue?| ¿Habrá transporte hacia el lugar de la boda?

Answer

Yes! We will be providing shuttle service from a central location in San Miguel de Allende. More details will be shared closer to the wedding date. If you prefer to arrange your own transportation, taxis and Ubers are readily available throughout downtown San Miguel de Allende. Please allow about 30 minutes to reach the venue due to potential traffic. ESPAÑOL ¡Sí! Tendremos servicio de transporte desde un punto central en San Miguel de Allende. Los detalles se compartirán más cerca de la fecha de la boda. Si prefieren organizar su propio transporte, taxis y Ubers están fácilmente disponibles en el centro de San Miguel de Allende. 14. What time should I arrive at the ceremony? | ¿A qué hora debo llegar a la ceremonia?

Answer

Please arrive at Casa Adela by 3:00 PM for the ceremony. If you are coming from downtown San Miguel de Allende, we recommend leaving around 2:30 PM, but please allow extra time and check traffic conditions. ESPAÑOL Por favor, lleguen a Casa Adela a las 3:00 PM para la ceremonia. Si vienen desde el centro de San Miguel de Allende, recomendamos salir alrededor de las 2:30 PM, pero consideren tiempo extra y revisen el tráfico.

15. I need to get some work done while in town. Do you have any recommendations?

Answer

There is a Starbucks on the main town square that has fantastic wifi and a lot of seating. We recommend going there to do work as many of the cafes around town have weak wifi connections.
