The story of Lauren and Jared begins in 2018 at Towson University. At the time, Lauren was a junior and Jared was a freshman. Both of them had a mutual friend at Towson which led them to frequently see each other. Lauren had eyes for Jared after a few chance meetings, and as per usual, Jared was completely oblivious. Later in 2018, they started playing in an intramural volleyball league together. After Lauren saw Jared’s volleyball skills (which some would consider pro level attributes), she was head over heels. Over the next couple months, these chance meetings had turned into intentional meetings and time spent between just the two of them. Now Jared was catching on that he might actually have a real shot at this! In March of 2019, Jared finally asked Lauren to be his girlfriend. They both continued to “finish” school and seek job opportunities that kept them close to each other. After being together for two years, they decided it was finally time to move in together. A few months later, the two lovebirds decided to buy a house together in Frederick, Maryland. For this, Lauren had made many sacrifices, including moving further from her own family and friends, finding a new job, and living in an area unknown to her. On the bright side, this did mean that her "lazy" boyfriend could start his career as a firefighter and that the two of them could spend more time together. Fast forward to almost present day and the two of them have now been together for over 5 years while living together for 3 of them. The time and love shared between the two have made them into new people. For example, Lauren is now capable of killing spiders on her own and in fact kills all the bugs now. Jared, on the other end, has found out that cleaning and folding laundry isn’t the end of the world. In July of 2024 the two of them had a vacation planned to Lake George, New York, a place where Lauren had been visiting since she was a baby. But this wasn’t just any vacation, this was the last time that she’d be able to visit her family home before it was sold. Jared, knowing this trip would have immense meaning to Lauren, planned deviously behind the scenes and made sure she suspected nothing. On July 8th of 2024, Jared took Lauren out on a sunset boat ride, and asked her if she’d marry him. She reluctantly said yes, and was already planning things for the wedding before they got back to the house. Lauren and Jared now have their wedding planned for September 26th of 2025, and cannot wait to share more of their love story with you!
