- Bring a European Plug Adapter (2 prong), so that you can charge your electronics! - Most EU countries, including Greece, only accept VISA (no Mastercard or American Express). If your bank offers a VISA card that has no conversion fees that would be ideal. - If you'd like to pay with Euros, we highly recommend going to a currency exchange at your US airport to avoid very high conversion and ATM fees.
Since this is a destination wedding and arranging things takes more time, we ask that you submit your RSVPs as soon as possible. The latest that we can finalize things with our vendors is December 2025.
You are welcome to bring a plus one if it is specifically stated on your RSVP. We're building a very delicious Greek menu for everyone to enjoy and will be planning for a specific number of guests.
It's really hard to figure out exactly what the different dress codes mean but "Garden Formal" is the closest I could find to explain it! Ladies, think midi/maxi, flowy materials, cute florals, summer spring/colors like pink, yellow, green, orange, blue! It can be hot so linen suits are recommended for the men.
Hopefully yes! We are still working out the exact details, but we are definitely wanting to make sure everyone that wants to view the livestream is able to. We will have more updates to come on this as the date gets closer.
No! Your presence will be a gift in itself (as Ben says to every event he's invited to), and we are ecstatic to be able to show you what has become one of our most favorite places. We really don’t want people to do this, but if you have your heart set on gifting money you can gift cash via card on the registry cash fund. If you are planning on writing a check, please make it out to Ben Poulos and Elyse Poulos. Thank you!!!
Since you'll be traveling to a whole other country to be there, we would love to welcome you at an informal cocktail hour! Keep checking the "Events" tab of the website as we are still working on those particular plans.
We would recommend arriving 30-60 minutes before the Ceremony. This will give you plenty of time to grab a drink, catch up with friends and find your seat.
If your RSVP includes your child's name, then they are invited!
Besides enough energy to outdance us on the dance floor and your best knowledge of all of ABBA's songs, definitely bring sunscreen!! The wedding will be close to sunset but we speak from experience when we say the Santorini Sun spares no one.
The wedding and reception will be outdoors around sunset.
We would love for you to live in the moment during the ceremony as we have hired some great photographers to capture all the special moments.
We are still working on these details, so please check back later for more information but we are working with Aeifos Botique Hotel to try to secure some type of option with them. Spots will likely be limited though, so if you have a place you see that you like feel free to book it!
If you're staying at Aeifos, they will help you arrange a shuttle to the venue! Otherwise, you can check with your hotel staff and I'm sure they'll be able to help you book something.
End of June is usually fairly warm and sunny, but not quite as hot as July/August! Likely will be around mid-high 70s, low-mid 80s with decent humidity. The main thing we recommend is linen clothes or other lightweight material, a fan if you do get hot easily, and LOTS of sunscreen!!
While you can enroll in an international plan through your phone carrier, a lot of Europe as a whole (Greece included) tend to use Whatsapp for communications. We highly recommend enrolling your number there ahead of time so you are all ready to go!
First point of contact would likely be Ben as Elyse will be very busy with planning and "packing" (aka lots of naps) leading up to the wedding. For more specific things, we'll point you to our amazing Wedding Planner, Maria.
One of our favorite activities was to see how many cats we could pet! If you want to meet a Tiktok famous cat, her name is Brula and she can be found in Oia. Her owners have an amazing shop too, so make sure to give yourself time to browse! As far as restaurant recommendations, honestly the locals know best so don't hesitate to ask your hotel staff and taxi drivers for their favorite places! If you want to get really adventurous, book a boat tour! Even if you don't swim, the gorgeous blue water may convince you to change your mind, and if not you'll still enjoy seeing different places around the island you can't visit by any other route.
