Our Story

Madison and Eli met at work in a real estate office in the summer of 2018. Neither of them expected to find love, but were instantly attracted to each other. Their co-worker picked-up on their crush and schemed to get them talking. Their first date, and first time ever hanging out outside of work, Eli drove to Madison's grandparents to make food together. Hoping to see him longer, Madison planned a trip to her favourite beach spot, Richmond Beach Park, to see what his intentions really were. After talking about their past, their faith, and their families Madison knew he was exactly the man she had been praying for. When he looked at her and said, "I feel like we could be here 10 years from now and not much would have changed," she knew he was THE ONE and texted her parents excitedly. In the following years, they became best friends and travel buddies- exploring several national parks, cherishing vacations with each other's families, and enjoying picnics at the beach. Most importantly, they have grown to love each other deeply and cultivate their love for Jesus together. 2 years and lots of adventures later, Eli asked Madison to marry him at that same beach where they had their first date (and first kiss)!!

The Proposal

Oh, the long awaited proposal! Madison was sure it was coming on a crisp Saturday afternoon at the pumpkin patch, but no...Eli had much bigger plans. On Sunday, October 24th, he told Madison to get ready for a dinner date. He took her out to dinner at their favourite pizza place, Tutta Bella, then blindfolded her on the way to the next destination...Richmond Beach Park. Madison knew where they were immediately, because she was so familiar with the curvy road down to the parking lot! After all, this was "their beach spot." Eli led Madison to the beach and handed her a glass of champagne, reminiscing on all the good memories made there including their first date and first kiss. Somehow he predicted Madison would be avidly people-watching, and sure enough she quickly noted a photographer taking photos along the beach. The photographer stopped to say hello and asked if she could take photos to "build her portfolio" and they both agreed. Sure enough, the photographer, Oshen, was planned by Eli, and shortly after he popped the question!! Of course, Madison said "YES!"
