Sunset Boat Cruise
6:00 pm - 8:15 pm
Casual attire, though we are on a boat, and nights on the water can be cool even in mid-summer.
Traffic going to the Cape, and on the Cape, on a Friday in midsummer is downright nasty. We encourage guests who are coming to the Cape on Friday to leave early in the day, and spend some time enjoying the area and checking into hotels. We recommend leaving at least an hour of travel time from your hotel to reach the dock (except for those staying in Hyannis). You should arrive early if possible, between 5:30pm-5:50pm to ensure you can find parking in the lot near the dock . More on parking here: https://bayspirittours.com/parking-directions/ The captain will be taking count of passengers at 6:00pm so please arrive by 6:00pm. On the boat, we will have a dinner buffet of traditional pub fare, including some New England favorites and vegetarian options, plus an open bar. The boat is chartered for our private party only. There is a restroom, as well as indoor/outdoor seating.
Covid Precautions

Although Covid restrictions have been lifted the pandemic continues and we want everyone to stay safe during our wedding festivities. Our events are all outdoors with indoor options. All adults on our guest list have been vaccinated but children have not. We encourage you to take precautions like masking and distancing if it makes you feel safe and at ease. We will be asking our kids to mask when playing with other kids for each other’s safety. Please bring a laminated copy of your vaccine card, as many spots on the Cape might require proof of vaccination. The vaccine card is not required at any of our wedding events. Don’t think you’ll be carded at the after party either :)

Shuttle Bus Transportation for Ceremony/Reception

We have arranged for shuttle buses to pick up each group of guests from their respective hotel. For all those who want to take the shuttle bus ,we will travel together to the ceremony and then to the reception; therefore we have only one pickup time for each location. Once the bus company finalizes pickup times, we will notify guests individually. The buses will pick up guests pre-ceremony, travel to the ceremony, then to the reception, and then do dropoffs at hotels OR at Sea Mist for the after party.
Ceremony

Smart Casual to Formal: for example, the groom may wear shorts but the bride sure won't.
The Nobska Lighthouse area has a small beach about a 50-yard walk from the lighthouse where we plan to take photos after the wedding. The wedding ceremony will first be held at the lighthouse. The ceremony will be approximately 30 minutes - there will *not* be seating at the lighthouse - if you need seating, we can bring a folding chair on the shuttle bus, just let us know. Also there is no bathroom on the Shuttle bus or at the lighthouse, so guests should plan accordingly (there's always the ocean).
Reception

We will have a "farm-to-table" style buffet dinner, with meat, seafood and vegetarian options. We will have a full, open bar for the night. We are not doing formal speeches, but we will have an "open mic" section for anyone who wants to speak.
After Party

We will have beer, wine and snacks back at Sea Mist Resort, from 10pm until midnight. The trolley after the wedding will do a dropoff at Sea Mist or at your hotel. You are welcome to go to the hotel and then come to Sea Mist, but you'll need to find other transportation if you choose to go to the hotel first, as the trolley will continue on with dropoffs.
