God decided to put us together before we were ever really even together, without us even knowing. Meera's best friend (and MOH), Emily Kubilus and Jacob's cousin, Marc Kushinka were a major part in this equation. They became friends when Marc moved to Columbia. Jacob and John would visit Columbia for USC-UGA football games, St. Patty's Day festivities, and even Meera's 21st birthday party. This invisible string which included a few years of crossing paths, small talk and kinda-sorta knowing each other, brought us to the beloved Tybee Island beach trip at the infamous "Cozy Cottage" in 2020. That weekend was when the little match struck and the rest is history. We met again for our first date a few weeks later at Craft & Vine in our "halfway point" of Augusta, Georgia. Our story from then on has been unlike any other. Almost four years of long distance later, we're having a wedding!!! We've spent these years falling in love in a unique way, often on stolen time. We've longed for the days when living 200 miles away from one another turns to zero. Every patiently-spent moment apart has been worth its weight in gold knowing we have a lifetime of togetherness ahead of us. As we eagerly anticipate the day we say 'I Do," we reflect on The Lord's goodness along our journey. We are so honored to have the best family and friends who continuously bless our lives. Thank you Heavenly Father for the gift of marriage!
