It's been an adventure! From bombs and curfews to learning that traveler's diarrhea is the BEST case scenario--hope to see you all to tell the tales with a glass of rosé in hand this summer.....
Kayla has accepted a position teaching at the international Colegio Americano de Quito while Dan plans on teaching English. They make their move there together this August.
Dan and Kayla met in the summer while Kayla was visiting Tamara at the mill in the south of France. After using her skills of persuasion, Kayla (finally) managed to convince Dan to stop referring to her as one of the "kids" and take her to the Fondation Maeght Museum. They were disgustingly inseparable the rest of Kayla's time in France. 10 years later after too many awful goodbyes at airports and lots of life lived in between--they're moving to Ecuador and ensuring no more tearful "à la prochaîne's."
