After being out on a Saturday night with their separate friends in Fells Point, Baltimore, Maryland, both Erin and Andrew ended up at the same pizza shop, Brick Oven Pizza. They had tables next to each other, started talking and realized how much they had in common. As they were parting ways, Andrew asked for Erin's number. They started casually dating and getting to know each other, but neither thought there was any long-term potential. . . you see, Erin had plans to move across the country to California temporarily for a travel nurse position before moving to Philadelphia, and Andrew was moving out of Baltimore in a few months. However, a few weeks before Erin was set to drive to California, plans fell through, and she needed a new road-trip buddy. Andrew, with his ability to work remotely, volunteered to take on the trip! They packed up Erin's CR-V and the two of them (and Erin's very quirky dog) set off. . . three weeks, 12 states, 7 national parks and 5,500 miles later, they realized how much they enjoyed the other's company, and that they didn't want their trip to end! So, when arriving in San Francisco, Erin convinced (it didn't take much convincing) Andrew to cancel his flight and stay another week (or two) longer. Before flying home, he already had his next trip planned to see her! . . . .From there the rest is history....fast forward a year and a half, a few more vacations (and another road trip across the country) later, and they live happily in Philadelphia! . . .We still can't believe this is real life. . .
