We met the way the best stories begin — unexpectedly and over a good beer. It was a casual trivia night at Millyard, surrounded by laughter, good friends, and the smell of hops in the air. The conversation flowed as easily as The Jackson, and by the end of the night, we both knew this was more than just a chance meeting. From that night on, Millyard became more than a brewery — it became the place where our story began.

It was a few days after Christmas when Curran asked Meeghan to go skiing. Meeghan had a feeling that a proposal was coming soon, and since she and Curran both shared a love for skiing, she thought it might happen at the top of the mountain. When the day came and went with no ring, she went home thinking that Curran was just being his usual self—planning to surprise her on a different day. That night they had a game night planned with their closest friends. While Curran was mixing cocktails, Meeghan quickly showered and got ready. When she came downstairs, she found a drink waiting for her—one Curran had made from her favorite Taylor Swift inspired cocktail book. As she moved around the house tidying up, Curran casually said, “Do you think you could finish that? I’d like to make another one.” Meeghan laughed, took her final sip, and much to her surprise, saw a ring glimmering at the bottom of her glass. When she looked up, Curran was down on one knee, looking up at her with a smile. Before he could even ask the question, she had already said her answer.
