Muir Woods National Monument
If you are looking for a beautiful walk or hike, check out Muir Woods National Monument. It is part of California’s Golden Gate National Recreation Area, north of San Francisco. It’s known for its towering old-growth redwood trees. You do need to make a reservation in advance.
Napa Valley
Just a short twenty minute drive from our wedding location, Napa Valley "Wine Country" is an ideal excursion for any visit to California. In addition to the abundance of wineries that offer tasting and tours, Napa features beautiful views and and an attractive downtown scene.
Berkeley
One of our favorite Bay Area cities, Berkeley is home to great shopping, thrifting, coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Telegraph, Shattuck, Indie Rock and the beautiful UC Campus are all must-visits when in Berkeley.
