Ariel met Joe in the summer of 2005 through her brother, Orion. Joe and Orion were good friends, skating together and engaging in all sorts of shenanigans. Ariel didn’t see Joe as anything more than a good friend at the time. Joe came to her rescue when she didn’t have a date to her senior prom. They had a good night full of dancing and laughter. After some unfortunate events, Joe moved back to Colorado in 2009. In 2012, Ariel visited Joe at his home in Littleton, CO. He took her on some adventures and showed her how beautiful Colorado is. At that time, Ariel wasn’t ready to settle down so she went back to Tucson, AZ then moved to Ventura, CA. The two kept in contact over the years and, in 2020, Ariel visited Joe in Colorado again. They decided it was the right time for them to be together so Ariel moved to Littleton, CO with her dog, King. On November 16, 2024, Joe and Ariel hiked St. Mary’s Glacier. Under an amazing tree, Joe proposed. Ariel said yes.
