We're getting married!

Medha and Tom met in 2020 during their internal medicine residency at The Ohio State University at a wellness event at the Columbus Zoo. Tom came along at the urging of his roommate, Sri, and apparently it paid off: he complimented Medha’s jacket, earning instant brownie points. From that moment, the two bonded over laughs, memes, and a shared love of dogs (they have proudly become dog auntie and uncle to many friends’ pups). They quickly discovered how well they balance each other. Medha humored Tom’s obsession with soccer (especially Tottenham Spurs) and Radiohead, while Tom patiently tolerated Medha’s reality TV binges. Their days were filled with exploring Columbus happy hours, Trader Joe’s visits, and spending time with family, building memories they still cherish. Life then brought three years of distance: Tom in Cleveland for his hematology-oncology fellowship, Medha in Pittsburgh for cardiology. Long drives, late-night texts, and a shared Google calendar helped them thrive despite the miles. Eventually, Tom moved to Pittsburgh to join Medha, bringing his humor, loyalty, and unwavering support into their life together. Now, they are grateful for every laugh, adventure, and quiet moment they’ve shared, and they look forward to a lifetime of love and growing together. They look forward to celebrating their wedding in Pittsburgh before they embark on their next journey together as they move to Durham in June.
