Once upon a time, two hears crossed paths, and decided to write their own fairytale. Filled with laughter, music, and that unforgettable Haitian love. And somewhere between the pages... they found their forever. But every fairytale has its beginnings, and ours started with a chance encounter that neither of us expected. We met at what can only be described as one of the most random-but-perfect places: his cousin's dad's birthday party - who also happens to be my best friend's family. Confused? So was I... but then I saw him. Or rather, I think I did. Honestly, the moment I first laid eyes on him, I blacked out -- in the way your brain does when it sees someone really, really cute. From that point on, I couldn't stop noticing him, the way he smiled. It was just a little too mesmerizing. Eventually, I confessed to my best friend that I thought he was cute -- because that's what best friends are for. Naturally, she wasted no time telling him (because that's what best friends are also for). And by the end of the night, he asked for my number with that same incredible smile.
