I would look up Uptown(light rail accessible and within 10 minutes of venue), South end (5 minutes), South Park (around 15-20 minute drive to venue) , Plaza Midwood (15-20 minutes to venue), Noda (20 minute drive to venue) to stay close to the venue and hotels.
