It emphasizes community, family blessings, and the vows of a lifelong partnership through rituals like the Kanyadaan, Hata Ganthi, and Saptapadi. - Kanyadaan: The bride's father entrusts his daughter's hand to the groom, symbolizing the handing over of responsibilities and a father's blessings. - Hata Ganthi: The bride and groom place their palms over a pot of sanctified water, symbolizing purity and unity. - Saptapadi (The Seven Vows): The couple takes seven sacred steps around the fire, making vows to support each other throughout life's journey. After the religious portion of the Wedding, the bride and groom play fun traditional games that playfully predict who will "wear the pants" in the marriage!
