We met on the driveway of a mutual friend's house late one summer night. We didn't think anything of it until we reconnected a couple years later at the Kauffman Center where each of our high school choirs were invited to perform. Sparks flew and a few Instagram direct messages later, the rest was history!
The number one question we get is "how did y'all date long distance for so long?!" Trust us when we say, if we were writing our own stories we would not have chose to write it this way. We are so thankful for gracious God who has used the distance in ways we could not have even imagined.
Grace was under the impression that the evening after Thanksgiving was going to be a double date with her best friend. After arriving to Messenger Coffee to grab a quick drink and choosing to walk to the Kauffman Center in the cold and rainy weather, she knew something was up. After arriving, David's suit jacket and a tiara for Grace were waiting. We literally walked down memory lane as David created a path with all of the dates in our 4.5 years of dating listed on wooden crowns. Once we got to the front of Kauffman Center, he dropped to one knee, and she said "YES!." And here we are!
