We met at Bonham Jr. High School in Orchestra. Forrest played the violin and i played the viola. We new each other growing up throughout highschool, but didn’t have very many classes together. Fast forward to Winter of 2017 when we reconnected through Facebook. I remember seeing his profile and being like oh i went to school with him! He accepted my friend request and we started corresponding through there. I was very stubborn and didn’t want to date because of past relationships. Forrest was very patient and persistent. Eventually we started dating , but didn’t make it official until March of 2017.
We took a late Valentines/Anniversary trip to San Antonio for the weekend. He told me he was going to take me somewhere nice to eat for our anniversary. We show up at the Melting Pot to our reservation. They took us to our table in the back which was really romantic and it had a beautiful bouquet of red roses on the table with my favorite chocolate covered strawberries. We enjoyed dinner trying something new and cooking our own food with the cheese fondue. After we ordered dessert and forrest told me he would go to the restroom and be right back. I’m sitting there enjoying my cocktail when all of a sudden he comes around the corner with the waitress videoing me. I was like what’s going on? He got on one knee and asked me if I would spend the rest of my life with him. Of course i said yes!! I was so happy and in shock that it didn’t really become real until we were on our way home. After planning our wedding for the past year and a half I can’t wait to become my best friends wife this fall.
