What a year 2020 has been. No one could have predicted the roller coaster of emotions we have been through over the past couple of months but one thing is for sure, we will have some crazy stories to tell our children! After some difficult conversations and an outpouring of love from our friends and family we have made the tough decision to postpone our wedding. July 25th, 2021 is the new date that we plan to tie the knot! As much as we would have loved to celebrate with everyone this fall, the health and safety of our loved ones is our top priority. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated on this website as things evolve. Until then, we will be dreaming of the day we can hug, kiss, sing and dance with all of our loved ones. Lots of Love, Kate & Vince
We met during our Freshmen year at Marquette University and were good friends all through college. It wasn't until New Years Eve 2015 that Vince came to his senses and decided he wanted a midnight kiss, the rest is history! Our first date was at a little restaurant in Milwaukee called Wolf Peach where we ended up finding our spot at the bar and talking for hours. Since then we have had many wine and pizza dates. The first couple of years of our relationship included many road trips where Vince fielded Kate's questions while trapped in the car for hours and Kate learned how much Vince loves her after she hit a deer with his week old car. In the summer of 2018, after spending a year 77 miles apart in Milwaukee and Madison, we moved out to Washington, D.C. for a new adventure together! We have enjoyed spending time with old friends, making new ones, and experiencing a new part of the country. After frantically pacing the pool for about 48 hours, Vince asked Kate to go for a walk on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and popped the question on March 18th, 2019. July, 25th 2021 cannot come soon enough and we are so excited to celebrate our big day with family and friends!
The Health and safety of our loved ones have been first on our hearts and minds as we plan this celebration. Because of this, we will be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to our wedding day. With vaccinations and testing being available to everyone, we strongly encourage our guests to take the same precautions prior to the event. For those that are not comfortable in large crowds yet, we still would love for you to join for our ceremony! The church will have a glass partitioned section for guests that choose to view the ceremony without being in close contact with others. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Kate or Vince!
