a day to remember

It all began on October 3rd, 2020 when Dave was invited to his boss’ retirement party (aka: my dad, the father of the bride). When my dad introduced us, we instantly clicked. Our journey started with a game of corn hole, which turned into endless laughs by the fire, and a very late night getting to know each other. As we spent more and more time together, I was introduced to his loving family and got to meet his dog, Bella, who now means the world to us. 2 years later, we purchased our first home.

Early Friday morning, June 28th 2024, Dave and I had a summer photo shoot scheduled for my birthday gift. He clued in my sister on his plan, then she tricked me into getting the photographers information so she could give her a heads up. Mid session, our photographer asked if we had any other ideas or poses we wanted to try. Dave pitched in his opinion by saying “I have an idea”, which is when he got down on one knee and made me the happiest girl alive, followed by many moments of tears and excitement. As the picture on our wall reads, “I’d choose you again and again”. We are so excited for the next chapter as The Mehalicks! 🤍
