How do you know someone is “The One” before your first date? Unbeknownst to us, we had several mutual friends that were trying to set us up for years. Our first meeting occurred at a friend’s birthday party. While this initial interaction left us both unimpressed, our friends saw something we didn't. Some time later, fate reconnected us to celebrate the wedding of these same friends in the stunning backdrop of Greece. While we had no idea what was in store, we both needed this trip. We can agree, the one thing we had in common at this time was that neither of us were in the position to date anyone. As the trip went along, we found that we kept having serendipitous moments – we could not escape one another, our paths were unintentionally crossing all over Athens and Ios. We were enjoying our time together, getting to know more about each other and ourselves. Our time in Greece gave way to some of the best stories and adventures that we've had together, because of this, Greece will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Despite our initial hesitation, and reluctance to open up our hearts to the possibility of finding love, there was no denying our connection. We knew that we had found something rare and special. So, after our return to Seattle, we had our first “official” date. Despite the conspiring our friends were attempting, our relationship developed so naturally, no one person could take credit for the connection. Many of you have helped us along the way and we can't thank you enough for all your support. We’re putting our wedding together with grateful hearts and each of you in mind.
