The site of our first date! I guess it went alright despite Sophie being late (the number of minutes late changes by the day). Very scenic walk in the East End.
Our favorite (soccer) bar in Portland. Neighborhood vibes, home brews. Perfect place to watch the World Cup! Their frozen painkiller is to die for, ask for the nutmeg sprinkle on top.
A bit off the beaten path for breweries but well worth the visit.
Our favorite local brewery in Riverton. Lots of other great options close by in Industrial Park (Allagash, Foundation, Definitive).
Great brewery in East Bayside, lots of other good spots in this area (Rising Tide, Apres, Lone Pine, Goodfire, Austin Street Brewery). Usually a food truck present (Great Wave Sushi is a favorite).
Beautiful beach close to the venue in Scarborough. Popular for surfers, great place for dog walks.
Local pub with hearty fare and perfect pours of Guiness. We accidentally go here too often.
Beautiful walkable island right outside of Portland accessible by car. Has a 1.5 mile walking path. Gorgeous year round.
Lots of ferries going to the islands in Casco Bay. Peaks Island is a popular choice. Insider tip is to take the mail boat that goes to a few of the islands.
Very fun barcade complete with pinball, air hockey, foosball and much more. Ask us who usually wins (it's me, Sophie).
One of our favorite bakeries. They make amazing bread, pastries, coffee and soft serve in the summer.
Local dive bar. Great vibes, cheap drinks. Best jello shots (so far).
Our favorite sushi spot. Very friendly staff, lots of seating both indoor and outdoor. We recommend the mackerel roll.
Lovely brewery. Worth a visit for a Sunday sharp pour.
Bar with every beer both domestic and international you could ever want. Cozy fireplace/cellar vibes inside when it's cold and an awesome deck outside when it's sunny.
