Public transit is so accessible here! We highly recommend taking the BNSF train into the city (stops in Naperville, Downers Grove, and other western suburbs) and connecting to the "L" (shorted for "elevated") trains, as necessary! Trains are well-run, inexpensive, and clean, and it certainly beats trying to find parking in the city!

The opulence of the Gilded Age is fully on display, with one of the largest private collection of Tiffany glass! We visited our first weekend after moving to Chicago! Warning: the desk staff can sometimes have an ~attitude~ problem, but the museum is well worth the trouble.
