FAQs

Question

What's the address for Dripsey Castle?

Answer

For GPS use this: Dripsey Castle, Carrignamuck, Dripsey, Co. Cork, P12 TY75, Ireland

Question

When and how do we RSVP?

Answer

Everything will be done online through this site. We just ask that you give us at least a "maybe" by October so we can start getting a headcount and planning accordingly. Your formal RSVP will be required by March.

Question

Will there be a detailed schedule?

Answer

Yes! We'll be updating the schedule with specific times and locations as we get closer. For now, use the day-by-day provided for general planning purposes.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

There are a number of Airbnbs and B&Bs in the area. We've also reserved a block of rooms at a few locations, but these are first come, first served, so please reach out to us directly if you're interested and we'll get you the details.

Question

How do we get around?

Answer

Taxis and other car services are widely available. If you'd rather rent a car, there's ample parking at the venue, so that's an easy option too.

Question

Are kids and plus ones welcome?

Answer

Yes! Kids and plus-ones are welcome at most events throughout the week, including the wedding day itself. That said, let's be real, who wants to bring the kids to the pub?

Question

Is there childcare?

Answer

We'll have some childcare available on select days for certain events. If you think you'll need it, please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Black tie. For the ladies, one important note: no stilettos, please! The venue has original hardwood flooring throughout and has specifically asked that stilettos not be worn. Thicker heels and wedges are totally fine. Also good to know for everyone, you'll be indoors and outdoors throughout the day, so plan accordingly.

Question

What should we pack / what's the weather like?

Answer

Ireland in July is mild but unpredictable so plan layers, a light rain jacket, and comfortable walking shoes for exploring. Evenings can get cool even in summer; pack accordingly. Don't forget a converter. Ireland uses a different outlet type than the US, and you'll definitely need one for anything you're bringing along.
