We first met at a Thursday night small group in the fall of 2019 and I don't remember going out of my way to say hi to him but Trent does. It was a couple of years later in January of 2021 when our paths crossed again and Trent finally reached my name on his list of getting to know people in the young adult group called Discover at Prestoncrest Church of Christ. I was so excited because everyone had been talking about their dinner with Trent and I was ready for my turn. We had a casual dinner at Velvet Taco before small group and like I do every week, I called Granddad right away to say that I can't wait to be best friends with Trent. My dear friend Cassidy is also a big part of the story and when I told her of my dinner, she questioned if I'd ever date Trent...I immediately said, "only if he pursues me." Which is exactly what he has done from the beginning and hasn't stopped. It was during the snow storm of 2021 that we started actually texting and getting to know more about eachother! You know, those conversations that you fall asleep texting and pick right back up that morning, that's what it was like for us. It didn't take him long at all before asking me on a coffee date on February 26. On March 14 (national pi day so easy to remember for a math guy) we officially started dating and the rest is history!
