Nathan and I absolutely love Colorado! We planned a weekend getaway to Colorado Springs for some R&R and hiking last fall. On our list of places to visit were Pike's Peak, Manitou Springs and Garden of the Gods. We started our morning on some hiking trails at Garden of the Gods. We had reached an open area of the trail with the mountains in the background and the view of the rock formations in front of us. It was a breath taking view so Nathan began setting up the tripod. By the time he had reached me I informed him that the camera was not blinking like it usually did and he acted confused as to why the camera wasn't working. He proceeded to say, "Hmmmm, well there is something I wanted to talk to you about." I immediately dropped my backpack and said, "uh-oh." Nathan proceeded with some sweet words, pulled the ring out of his pocket and dropped to his knee. I was not expecting those four words but I am forever grateful that question will change my life forever! I am also thankful that what I believed was going to be just a pretty picture turned out to be a recorded proposal.
