Michael: After meeting through Bumble the local dating app Meagan and I waited awhile before going on our first date. She was busy with school and she had acquired more responsibility at work. I was just starting my career in the fire service and just settling into College Station. We communicated through text message through the following summer and as the time went we slowly got to know each other. I couldn’t tell you what was said during our first date, just that Meagan knew the good food items on the menu and we all know the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. As I watched Meagan leave the restaurant I remember thinking two things, this is a strong and independent woman and I want to see her again. Meagan: When I first met Michael I knew something about him was different even though we had only communicated through an app. He had asked me for coffee but with it being the last month of school my schedule was hectic. We didn’t end up going on a date until a month later. What I remember from the first date is being nervous and talking way too much. Michael was so patient and interested in what I had to say which I found so sweet. After the date ended I knew that he was either going to be someone really special or we would never speak again. Luckily he reached out later that day and wanted to see each other again and I couldn’t have been more excited. I knew in my heart that somehow some way we were meant to find each other it was just a matter of when. Michael: Seeing her again included touring the art museum at the University of A&M, sharing our first kiss in the rain, and visiting the space center in Houston. The list of dates eventually turned Summer into Fall I asked Meagan to be my girlfriend September 1st 2019. We faced some challenges early in our relationship and with guidance from the lord we were able to walk the path that eventually lead us to where we are now, happily engaged and optimistic about our future.
