Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum
We loved exploring the exhibits on the USS Yorktown and looking at the stunning view of the Ravenel Bridge. We even took a helicopter ride around Charleston that left from Patriot's Point!
Charleston Water Taxi
The water taxi runs on a continuous loop around Charleston Harbor between Patriots Point and Downtown Charleston from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Use it to get to downtown Charleston's historic Market Street, the South Carolina Aquarium, or just for a relaxing, scenic harbor boat ride!
Fort Sumter National Monument
Catch a ferry from Patriot's Point to Fort Sumter, where the Civil War began! We visited our first time to Charleston in 2020.
South Carolina Aquarium
Take the water taxi from the hotel to visit the South Carolina Aquarium!
The Battery & Rainbow Row
Discover Charleston's Battery at the southern tip of Downtown Charleston! You'll see a few spots where we took our engagement photos. Weave through the historic homes and check out Rainbow Row.
King Street
Head to historic King Street, with numerous shops and restaurants. We suggest Hall's Chophouse for a bite, followed by a visit to our favorite cocktail bar, Proof, just across the street.
