We met through mutual friends — the kind of casual intro that seemed harmless at the time. A full year went by before we finally decided to hang out. Alex insisted it wasn’t a date. (“Just two friends hanging out!” Sure, Alex. Sure.) That not-a-date turned into an entire day of laughing, talking, and realizing that maybe — just maybe — this was actually something special. A week later, Alex moved in… and hasn’t left since. We like to say we skipped the awkward early dating phase and went straight to soulmates-with-shared-laundry duties. From there, things moved quickly — but when you know, you know. We were talking about marriage and building a life together before most couples agree on what show to binge. Then came the proposal: Alex brought me back to a beautiful pond from our very first hangout and got down on one knee with the most gorgeous ring. We said yes (well, I said yes — Alex was already committed), and the rest is a blur of happy tears, excited phone calls, and our dogs wondering what all the fuss was about. Speaking of dogs… we now share our home with five furry little chaos-makers. That’s right — we’re a party of seven, including our pups, who believe they run the household (and honestly, they kind of do). Life is loud, messy, full of dog hair, and absolutely perfect. We can’t wait to celebrate our big day with all of you — our favorite humans — and maybe a few surprise cameos from our four-legged family members.
