Visiting Alaska

We are so excited to welcome everyone to Maia’s home state of Alaska! To answer your first question, expect mild temperatures in the 50s and 60s and sunshine on our wedding day! More reliably, we will have nearly endless daylight (it will be dark from roughly 1 to 3 AM). There is so much to do in Alaska in the summertime! Below are some general suggestions for hikes, activities and food! If you have any particular interests or activities you’d like to pursue during your stay or would like to travel outside the Anchorage/Girdwood area and are looking for recommendations we’re happy to help - please reach out with any questions! The following sites may also be helpful: https://www.anchorage.net/ https://www.travelalaska.com/ https://www.visitgirdwood.com/ https://www.alltrails.com/us/alaska/anchorage https://www.alyeskaresort.com/summer-activities/ We also hope to plan several group activities for the week of the wedding and will be adding info to the site once we do!
