Saugatuck Dune Rides
Take a roller-coaster tour of Saugatuck's dunes! 40 minutes of entertainment and fun. The trip is narrated with some historical content, and three stops are made throughout the ride. Tickets are $25 per adult and $15 for children.
Oval Beach
One of the nicest beaches in SW Michigan, Oval Beach is a great place to watch waves crash or catch a famous Lake Michigan sunset.
Saugatuck Chain Ferry & Mt. Baldhead State Park
A Saugatuck claim to fame - take a ride on the oldest "chain ferry" boat in the US across Saugatuck Harbor. Extra points if you pull the crank! Mt. Baldhead State Park is nearby and great spot for a quick hike for a view of the harbor as well.
Holland, Michigan
Holland, MI is an area Dan often visited for family camping trips (Holland State Park - the general store had the best ice cream!) There's a lot to do and see in Holland - which, of course, has a large Dutch influence. Visit the Windmill Island Gardens where you can explore Nelis' Dutch Village and the Veldheer Tulip Gardens. Big Lake Brewing is a local standout brewery/restaurant.
