Our wedding weekend will be the last weekend of the month to book a wine tasting boat tour! Experience the beauty of Lake Tahoe during the mid-day tour, departing at 11am on the beautiful Golden Rose, while tasting Northern California's great wines. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase bottles of their favorite wines at the end of the tour. Boat tours are approximately 2 hours in length but can last a little longer depending on lake traffic. *Reservations are encouraged*

Sand Harbor is one of our favorite spots on Lake Tahoe. It is a public access beach with but they do charge $10 to park. Stop by, walk the beach, have a picnic, and enjoy the view! Sand Harbor is located along State Route 28, just three miles south of Incline Village. The area offers 55 acres of paradise – expansive sandy beaches, rocky coves, and panoramic views of the east shoreline. Families love the shaded picnic areas with tables and barbeques. The paved walkways make them wheel chair accessible and the Sand Harbor Nature Trail is also handicap-accessible. It is 1/3 mile long and offers interpretive signs and gorgeous views. There is also a ½ mile trail to Memorial Point, with access to secluded beaches and rock areas to explore.

Emerald Bay State Park includes the Emerald Bay overlook and hiking trails that descend to Vikingsholm, a castle-like house at the shore of the bay, and Fannette Island, the only island in Lake Tahoe. The view from the Emerald Bay overlook (shown above) is a classic Lake Tahoe view, but you may want to include the walk down to Vikingsholm and the tour of this historic house. Be aware that the walk back up is steep, and there are no rides out. Restrooms are available at the bottom of the trail.
