Hotel
This hotel is super close to both the ceremony and reception venues (less than 2 miles), and we have a number of rooms reserved in our room block here. Includes breakfast. This will by far be the most convenient option in terms of getting to and from the venues on wedding day. We encourage most of our out-of-town guests to stay here at least for the wedding night so you can celebrate us without worrying about a long drive afterwards. Follow the link to access the exclusive rates available to our group for the wedding weekend!
House Or Rental
There are a number of house/cabin/houseboats available for rent on nearby Lake Lanier, just a short drive from the ceremony and reception venues. Just make sure you check proximity to downtown Gainesville as you look at locations on Airbnb or VRBO - it's a pretty big lake.
Travel Note
We know a lot of our out-of-town guests may be flying into Atlanta; our venue is about an hour from the Atlanta airport, so staying in Atlanta may be an option for your group for one or both nights. Ellis grew up just outside the city, and Jack attended Georgia Tech in midtown, so we both have a love for the ATL. Here are some of our favorites for you to explore if you have the opportunity: TO-DO Krog Street Market - Food Hall located right off Atlanta's Beltline walking/biking trail Georgia Aquarium/World of Coke - Atlanta tourism staples Georgia Tech Campus Virginia Highlands/Little Five Points Suntrust Park - Home of the Braves National Center for Civil & Human Rights - Awesome museum and resource (Jack interned here in college) RESTAURANTS Cypress St Pint & Plate Fox Bros BBQ Fred's Meat & Bread (Best Burger/Philly, Krog St Market) Mary Mac's Tea Room (Southern) Superica (Tex-Mex, Krog St Market) Little Rey (Casual taco spot, from the Superica folks)
