We’re Getting Married!

Funny story: before they started dating, Tess and John were like ships in the night. They went to the same University (UA, U Know!), attended some of the same concerts and they both worked in politics in New York. Back in 2018, they both worked on campaigns in Nassau County, there’s even a photo of the two of them together at a campaign staffer networking event. But it would take a global pandemic to finally bring them together. The world was completely shut down, and Tess and John found themselves swiping through profiles on Ok Cupid. They swiped right on one another and the rest is history!

Yep, John proposed on his birthday! Tess had planned a surprise tour of the Long Island Aquarium— one of John’s favorite places. So together, with Tess’ sister Bridget and her boyfriend Matt, they drove out to Riverhead. Tess was rushing John to get inside, but he wanted to stop and look at the seals. Tess was worried they wouldn’t have enough time before the surprise, but soon John flipped the surprise onto her, by getting down on one knee in front of the seal exhibit.
