What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail/formal with a nod to the outdoor setting. We recommend cocktail dresses, midi or maxi dresses, dressy sets, or dress pants with a blazer for women. Men can opt for a suit, or dress pants with a button-down shirt, and a sport coat. Since the event will take place outdoors in South Carolina in October, when temperatures can vary, we suggest bringing a light layer to stay comfortable if the evening turns cool.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM, so please plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes early to allow time for seating. Arriving a bit early also helps ensure you catch one of the shuttle loops to the venue. We appreciate your punctuality in helping us start the event smoothly!

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is parking available at Caledonia for those who prefer to drive. We recommend arriving a little early to allow time for parking. For our guests visiting from larger cities, please be aware that Uber and Lyft services tend to operate more slowly on the southern coast. If you plan to use a rideshare service, we recommend ordering well in advance to ensure timely arrival.

When do the shuttles leave?

Answer

The first shuttle will depart from both the Hampton Inn and Litchfield by the Sea (Registration Building) at 3:50 PM, with a second pickup at 4:25 PM. At the end of the night, return shuttles will leave the venue at 10:30 PM, dropping guests off at both the Hampton Inn and Litchfield by the Sea (Registration Building) around 10:50 PM. You may park your car at the registration building and in their overflow parking.

Is the reception seating assigned?

Answer

Instead of a traditional sit-down meal, we’ll be serving a variety of delicious appetizers and small plates throughout the evening. The reception will feature cocktail-style seating, with a mix of high-top tables, lounge areas, and some seated tables. Feel free to mingle, move around, and enjoy the space!
