Friday Welcome Party: Casual attire! It will be a mix - The welcome party will be at a Brewery indoors so come as you please. For those who get chilly we suggest a light coat or sweater for the evening when you leave. Saturday's Events: We are aiming for cocktail attire/semi-formal wear for the ceremony and reception. Our main ask would be no denim or sneakers. Our wedding venue is in the mountains, which means you might encounter slightly uneven terrain. We suggest wearing shoes that are comfortable for walking, such as wedges, block heels, or dressy flats for women, and sturdy dress shoes for men.
While we adore children, we've opted for an adults-only affair on Saturday to allow everyone to relax and enjoy the celebration. We hope you understand our decision and can arrange childcare for the evening. If you have any concerns or special circumstances, please don't hesitate to contact us directly to discuss further. The Friday Welcome Party is kid friendly and would love to see them all there!
The mountains always surprise us so we will embrace it all! The ceremony will be outdoors if possible and the reception will be in a heated tent. For an idea of what to expect, it may be warm during the day, but temperatures could drop and get a little cooler at night. We recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl to stay comfortable or for heading home.
For those visiting Breckenridge for the first time, please be aware that the altitude may impact you a bit! Especially when you first arrive. Drink as much water (even some electrolytes) as possible to prepare for the trip, and continue to drink lots of water throughout the weekend. This really helps! Also, keep in mind that alcohol may affect you more quickly. We will have some altitude sickness remedies available including cans of oxygen, Advil, electrolytes, etc.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30pm so we ask that all guests have found a seat prior to the start. The will be a cocktail hour with some hors d'oeuvres immediately following the ceremony.
There will be provided shuttles available on Saturday, September 28th starting at 2pm to get you up to the Lodge. There will be several shuttles running loops with pick ups at Residence Inn by Marriott Breckenridge and at Thunder Mountain Lodge. The shuttle company is willing to make some extra stops as well so let Bailey/Jason know if you want to arrange. There is not parking available for guests to please plan on taking the shuttle or let Bailey/Jason know if you need any assistance!
