We met on our very first day of high school in biology class, which was followed by a year of not-so-secret admiration from afar, as we were both too nervous to approach each other in person. Over the next three years, we interacted only during classes we shared, averting our eyes when we would catch ourselves looking at each other from across the classroom. A few weeks after high school graduation, in June 2013, we were connected again when hanging out with a mutual friend. We went on our first date to TCBY a few days later and found ourselves talking on the patio even after the last employee left for the night. Throughout the summer, we were inseparable, becoming the best of friends over ice cream, movies, and plenty of dancing. As soon as we left for different colleges, we quickly realized how special our friendship was and decided to give the long-distance thing a try. About 6 years after our first date, in May of 2019, we got engaged while sitting in our living room surrounded by our favorite things—our dog, our cats, and our couch. After that, we picked a date and started planning! We decided 4-3-21 would be the perfect date for our dreamy day. Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances, we were unable to safely hold our dream wedding with all of our family and friends. However, we decided to elope and tie the knot on our dream date anyways, and the day was just that--a dream. Now that we are officially husband and wife, we are SO excited to celebrate our marriage with all of our loved ones on April 2, 2022.
