FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly, RSVP by 8/1/24

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is no dress "code", only dress "suggestions"! We are suggesting upscale casual. We want you to be comfortable as we celebrate together. Please know our event is almost entirely outdoors-- in September, weather can be unpredictable at best-- so having some layers to stay warm or protected from the sun is suggested. Our wedding is also on a dock! While the dock is newly renovated and vinyl, consider your shoe options. Suits/ties are by no means necessary, but wear what you want!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We have opted to have an adult-only event. We love all of your babies, but want YOU to have a care-free evening to enjoy with us, so we ask you arrange to leave the kiddos at home. We have, however, invited 4 of our closest tiny-humans to be in the Ceremony but they will leave shortly after so their moms & dads can relax!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

YES! During the RSVP process we have asked for any dietary restrictions noted. If you have not submitted your RSVP or if you may have missed that step, please reach out to us directly.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking onsite as well as shuttle services provided. We recommend car pooling as best you can.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Tons! We will be in Cape Charles most of the week leading up to the wedding & the 2 days following. The room block is extended a few days on each end to allow our family & friends to make a mini-vacation of their time with us. Saturday we will have a BBQ at the Campground and we plan to spend all other moments relaxing by the pools or on the beach & probably nurse our hangovers all together!

Question

What should I expect in my room? What is provided?

Answer

All of the cottages are two bedrooms and have a sleeper sofa with the exception of the Accessible units. Cottages feature a partial kitchen with full refrigerator, a cooktop and the essentials for dining (pots, plates, utensils). Private bathrooms, coffee pots and microwaves are in each unit. Safari Tents have two beds, a sofa, dresser, microwave, safe, mini fridge and coffee pot. These units do not have bathrooms but are conveniently located across from the bathhouse. Linens are provided in all units, with the exception of pool or beach towels. All units are private and allow for some home cooked meals or snacks throughout the weekend. Most importantly, don’t forget to bring your own coffee! The closest grocery store is the Food Lion in Cape Charles or Royal Farms. There is also a Campstore onsite to pick up any forgotten essentials.
