We met at Worcester Dining Common at UMass Amherst, the place that would become the backdrop to our story. It was Hannah's first work shift in her second month of school and Billy's junior year. Our shifts overlapped every Wednesday, three hours each week, and over time, those hours turned into something far more meaningful. As we worked side by side, we discovered shared interests, and what began as simple conversations soon bloomed into laughter and friendship.
We were spending a peaceful weekend camping in the heart of Acadia National Park in Maine. On Friday afternoon, we decided to walk around Jordan Pond. About halfway, we paused on the pond’s edge to capture a few family photos. Billy set up the camera, and while I was taking in the breathtaking views, I didn’t realize that he was actually recording a video, not just taking a photo. Standing there with Greeko in my arms, Billy stood next to me with Lyla on a leash, and then before I realized what was happening, he dropped to one knee. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you in Nahant!
