Antigua boasts a mild climate year-round, with warm days reaching the low 80s and cooler evenings dipping into the 50s. Feel free to flaunt those knees during the day, but bring a light layer to cover your shoulders when the sun sets!

Question

Okay, I’ve landed. How do I get to Antigua?

Answer

Welcome! We hope your flight was smooth. Antigua is about a 1 to 1.5-hour drive from La Aurora International Airport (GUA). You can choose from private shuttles, taxis, or shared shuttles, but we highly recommend pre-booking your transportation for a hassle-free trip. Once you arrive, you’ll find Antigua to be very walkable with its charming cobblestone streets. Ubers and taxis are also readily available for short trips.

Question

Is it safe to travel here?

Answer

Yes, it’s very safe, but use common sense and think smart. Keep these tips in mind: - Stick to well-lit areas and avoid displaying valuables. The dark knight won’t be there to save you. - Use reputable transportation services. A hustler’s gonna hustle. - Drink bottled water—tap water isn’t the way to go. - Keep your passport and important documents in a secure place. - Bring comfortable shoes. High heels might just lead to a high ankle sprain. - Don’t forget your sunscreen! You’ll thank us later.

Question

What time zone is Antigua in?

Answer

Antigua is in Central Standard Time (CST) and does not observe daylight saving time.

Question

Are there special customs or traditions to be aware of?

Answer

Respect local culture and traditions. For example, it’s customary to dress modestly in religious sites and greet locals politely.

Question

How long is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will promptly start at 1PM and we are celebrating our love for 9 hours. Be merry, dance, hydrate, and repeat. Then after the wedding, it’s the after party. And after the party, it’s the hotel lobby, you know the vibes.

Question

I hear a rumbling, what is that noise?

Answer

It’s not Ali vs. Foreman. Antigua is a stunning city surrounded by three majestic volcanoes: Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. Volcanic activity is visible at times, with Fuego emitting small puffs of smoke, don’t worry, it will pass.
