The dress code is semi-formal. Guys - suits are great, or dress pants and a sport coat! Gals - midi/long dresses, please!
We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony so that everyone can get settled in and we can start on time. If you'd like, you are welcome to arrive up to 45 minutes early and spend some time with Jesus, preparing your hearts to worship with us and praying over our marriage!
We respectfully ask that only those who have been named on the invitation attend the reception due to venue space. If this answer does not suffice, please reach out to Johnny and Caroline directly and we would be happy to reassess if there will be room to allow for this in your situation! However, for our wedding ceremony at St. John Neumann - the more the merrier! We would be honored if others would like to attend and witness our Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.
It is posted on the “Registry” section of our website! Thank you so much :)
The Catholic Church welcomes all to sacramental celebrations! If you are unfamiliar with Catholic liturgy, the program will be a very helpful guide. In short - simply stand, sit, and, if you are comfortable and able, kneel along with the rest of the congregation and enjoy the beauty of the moment!
You may not be familiar with the word "sacrament," but you may still be familiar with what they are. You may conceptualize them as milestones of the spiritual life. The Catholic Church teaches that sacraments are "efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church" (CCC 1131). Simply put, a sacrament is a moment where heaven touches earth and we witness the grace of God!
