Spoke Bicycle Cafe
Great little restaurant along the LA River Bike Path. Amanda and I love to go here after a bike ride or a run. You can rent a bike here and go exploring, or just grab a bite and hang out.

Shatto 39 Lanes
One of our earliest date spots, and just a great spot to hang out with a group of your best buds. The decor looks like it hasn't been updated much since the 90s, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable (unlike some of the hipper, more Instagramable lanes elsewhere in the city).

Sabores Oaxaqueños Restaurant
Favorite local restaurant, located near our place. Go here if you're looking for Oaxacan cuisine, especially mole, but don't want to wait an hour at Guelaguetza down the street (which, to be clear, is also very good!).
