Our story actually started back at Cleveland High, where we first crossed paths. Maja walked up to me and confidently asked if he could take me out sometime. Without hesitation, I told him he was a baby and walked away! 😅 Over the years, we had a few more encounters, but nothing ever really came of them. That all changed in April of 2023. I had just started working at a hair salon, and every Thursday night, I made it a ritual to stop by 122 Hang Suite for my favorite drink and lemon pepper wings. Week after week, I noticed something interesting, Maja always seemed to be there too, either sitting next to me or somewhere nearby. I started calling him “Bar Boo,” even though we barely spoke beyond a little small talk. Then, about a month later, everything shifted. We finally had a real conversation, learning about each other’s professions and interests. From there, things moved quickly. Maja started picking up my truck to wash it, and those moments turned into long conversations that carried into late-night outings every single night. We’d wake up, talk all day, go out all night, and do it all over again. It felt like a fairytale. Neither of us said “I love you” right away, but there was no denying the deep bond we were building. It was effortless and intense, like he hijacked my heart without warning. On May 25, 2023, we officially became a couple and even though everything happened fast, it felt right. Scary, maybe. But real. And it’s been nothing short of amazing ever since. “Who knew ‘Bar Boo’ would turn into ‘I do’?”
