We personally love the Plaza, the Crossroads, and Brookside! Our reception space is very close to Downtown and the Crossroads.
Semi-formal - please no sweats! Think comfortable, but wearable to a nice restaurant. Please avoid wearing mostly white outfits as well!
All food and beverages will be made with love by the brides, to be determined once the final RSVP count is in! Beer and wine will also be available - the drinks are on us, so please arrange a safe ride home!
We wanted our reception to be laid back and almost family reunion like - just like the gatherings we love to host at home. For those that love to dance and go out, we’ll have a section reserved at our favorite queer bar, Q. Normal cover (usually $10) will apply for those choosing to accompany us, and remember to bring dollar bills to tip the drag queens!!
We are unable to kidproof the venue, so please enjoy a child-free evening with us!
So much! Kansas City is full of amazing museums, restaurants, shopping, and more. See some of our favorites on the KC Guide tab. Additionally, Labor Day weekend is host to the Irish Festival at Crown Center, SantaCaliGon Festival in Independence, and Royals games on Friday and Sunday night!
