We're getting married!

It all started in 2018 at Sammy’s Bar and Grill in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Drew was the new hire, and I was assigned to train him on his very first day. He swears I made quite the impression. We quickly formed a close friendship, spending our shifts playing hangman at the host stand and bonding over our favorite TV shows, music, and movies. Before long, we were checking the schedule (and even the parking lot) to see if the other would be working that day. Our first official date was in May of 2019 at Rum House in Baton Rouge. We talked for hours until the restaurant closed, and we reluctantly had to leave. From that night on, we were inseparable. One of our favorite early memories was a spontaneous evening that started with Italian food, led to a competitive game of laser tag, and ended beneath the stars at City Park. While we were talking, the sprinklers came on and Drew pulled me up to run through them, laughing the whole way. That summer, Drew moved back home to Alexandria, but we made the two-hour drive often just to be together. In August 2019, we officially became a couple. We spent countless days out on the lake, where Drew told me he loved me for the first time. A year later, I made the move to Alexandria to be closer to him, and our lives continued to grow together. In 2022, we took a leap and moved to San Antonio, Texas. It was a big change, leaving behind the familiarity of home and family, but it was a beautiful step forward in becoming the couple we are today. On our four-year anniversary in August 2023, Drew proposed during a weekend getaway to Fredericksburg. While our apartment complex accidentally spoiled the surprise (thanks to a very revealing group text about a package pickup featuring a ring logo I knew all too well), Drew still managed to pull off an intimate and heartfelt proposal that completely caught me off guard. Since then, we’ve continued building a life we love. We bought our first home in March 2024 and adopted our sweet German Shepherd puppy Kobe in August 2024. Though our engagement has been a long one, it’s been full of growth, laughter, and love, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Now, we're so excited to finally say "I do" and celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you.
