Preferred: Passport or Nexus Card or Tribal ID (a Tribal ID alone is sufficient to come back through the port) Acceptable: Driver’s License with Birth Certificate For Minors: Birth Certificate You will not be going through Canadian customs. You will be presenting your identification documents to US customs on your way out after the ceremony. They will likely ask you common questions like, "What were you doing in Canada?" "Did you buy anything while there?" "Where are you from? Where do you live?" Many people will be leaving the gardens at the same time from the wedding and giving similar answers that they were not in Canada and did not buy anything. They will just check your documents and wave you through. If you are using a birth certificate, ensure it is a government-issued birth certificate and not a certificate of live birth from a hospital (they are not the same). If you cannot track one down, they are usually pretty easy to get through the state you were born and can usually be ordered online for much cheaper than a passport. You may bring additional guests (who are not included on your RSVP) if you let Matt and McKayla know before July 24th. Please let us know so we can make sure we have enough food/space!
So glad you asked! We will provide some beer, wine, ciders, and margaritas as well as some pop, water, lemonade and coffee. The Fiddler’s Hall is also a BYOB venue so please feel free to bring your favorite libations right in the case or your favorite cooler.
Minot (MOT) is the closest, followed by Grand Forks (GFK), and Fargo (FAR). Minot is about a 2 hour drive, so you will need to rent a car upon arrival.
Please RSVP by July 24th so we can make sure we have enough food and space set up the day of the wedding.
Yes, for the reception portion! We will have a shuttle that will pick up from Sky Dancer and bring folks to the Fiddler's Hall for the reception and run a loop. It is about a 5 minute drive between the hotel/reception venue. No shuttle service will be available for the ceremony. It is about a 30 minute drive from the Sky Dancer to the Peace Gardens.

It's a wedding - dress up! But most importantly, we want you to be comfortable. Late August in ND is usually hot, so consider that. Bonus points if you wear a bowtie (bowties are cool).
Gifts are by no means expected, we are just happy to enjoy this day celebrating with those that love us. However, if you wish to get us a little something-something, cash money or contributions to our honeymoon fund are our preference! Our goal is to make it to New Zealand for a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

If you are an aunt, uncle, cousin, sibling, parent, grandma, nephew, or member of the wedding party, you will be included in photos. Family photos will take place immediately following the ceremony at the Peace Gardens. Our photographers will be around snapping shots throughout the day so expect to see them around/be in some of those shots so we can remember the day with you as well. :)
