The infamous Spring of 2020. As the world shut down, campus jobs became a thing of the past, and on campus housing shut down Molly found herself in a bit of a dilemma. Enter Nathan. They befriended each other earlier in 2019 through mutual friends, and became closer when he hosted her 21st birthday party. After trying out a few different housing situations that didn't quite work out, Nathan, and his roommates at the time, offered the empty room in their house. So they all quarantined together. Those months were filled with walks around the neighborhood, lots of Bojangles, and (maybe too many) hours of video games. As they grew even closer while living together they planned a cross county road trip. It was that road trip that they said they loved each other for the first time. But, the timing wasn't right, Molly was headed to Las Vegas, and then back to Columbia. Nathan was headed to Emory Law in the fall, and they agreed starting a relationship while long distance was not a good idea. They finished the road trip, and Nathan dropped Molly off at the airport in Charlotte and they said (what they thought) were final goodbyes. Less than 48hrs later Nathan had booked tickets to come and visit her in Vegas. Less than a week later and they were reunited again. They made it official that same day in the drive-thru of an In-And-Out Burger. 4 years, one month, and 10 days later, on August 24th of 2024 Nathan asked Molly to marry him. And, of course, she said yes. They look forward to celebrating their union with close family and friends, 2 years, 1 month, and 4 days later on October 10th in 2026.
