FAQs

Question

What do I wear?

Answer

The welcome party is cocktail attire. For men, wear a jacket and slacks but no tie required. Ladies can wear a cocktail dress, dressy jumpsuit, or skirt and shirt are appropriate. No jeans, no tennis shoes. The wedding is black tie optional! No need to wear a tux unless you prefer it but men, please wear suit and tie. For ladies, evening gown, cocktail dress, dressy skirt and shirt are appropriate.

Question

Are my kids invited?

Answer

Yes, if you have children you are more than welcome to bring them and we have accounted for their attendance on your invite but know that this is more of an adult event with loud music, alcohol and more upscale food options.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

See the travel page for more detail. We have rooms blocked at 3 hotels to which we’ve provided day of transportation - we would recommend this for convenience but have provided recommendations for nicer places to stay as well. Should you opt to stay at a hotel which we do not have rooms blocked, transportation will not be provided but Asheville has plenty of uber/Lyft availability so you shouldn’t have issues getting a ride. The Grand Bohemian and The Biltmore Inn are the more upscale hotels closest to the reception venue.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We request that any additional desired guests not addressed on the invitation envelope are confirmed with the bride or groom prior to the wedding date.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 5:30 but we recommend arriving around 30 minutes early so that you can get comfortable in your seat and enjoy our prelude music.
